FORScan
Utility: FORScan is one of the most widely used software for advanced diagnostics and coding of Ford vehicles and some Mazda models.
Applications: fault reading, module coding, adaptations, service reset, real-time data, and advanced manufacturer functions.
Compatible Interface: Modified ELM327 or compatible OBD interface.
IDS
Utility: IDS is the historical Ford/Mazda manufacturer software used in workshops for full diagnostics and some programming operations.
Applications: manufacturer diagnostics, workshop procedures, troubleshooting, ECU programming, and electronic maintenance.
Compatible Interface: Primarily VCM II.
FDRS
Utility: FDRS is the newer Ford platform, intended for modern vehicles and new generations.
Applications: programming, software updates, module configuration, and next-generation diagnostics.
Compatible Interface: Primarily VCM3.
