Heat shrink tubing kit designed to protect OBD diagnostic connectors and cables from wear, friction, and repeated mechanical stress.
OBD cable connectors are points of fragility. With repeated plugging and unplugging, the wires at the connector eventually wear out, fray, or break. A properly placed heat shrink sleeve significantly extends the cable's lifespan by absorbing these stresses.
The kit includes multiple diameters to fit all types of cables and connectors found in standard OBD equipment.
Package Contents
- 1 x Multi-diameter heat shrink tubing kit
- Several sizes included to fit all OBD cables and connectors
Warranty
Product guaranteed for 1 year, covers manufacturing and delivery defects.

How to install heat shrink tubing
| Step 1 | Choose the appropriate diameter for the cable or connector to be protected |
| Step 2 | Cut to the desired length and slide the tubing over the cable before attaching the connector |
| Step 3 | Position the tubing over the area to be protected (preferably the cable/connector junction) |
| Step 4 | Apply heat evenly with a heat gun or a moving lighter |
| Step 5 | The tubing shrinks and perfectly conforms to the shape of the cable |
Priority areas to protect
- Junction between the cable and the male or female OBD2 connector
- Cable exit area on diagnostic interfaces
- Any point of repeated friction or bending of the cable
- Cable splices and repairs
